Pierce Owens

Pierce Owens joined CB Richard Ellis Portfolio Services as an Account Executive in 2003, and was promoted to Vice President in 2008, and now First Vice President in 2011. Mr. Owens’ primary responsibility is to implement the marketing strategy for the national disposition of real estate portfolios. Activities include valuation, marketing strategy, contract negotiations, due diligence oversight and closing activities.

Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis Portfolio Services, Mr. Owens was employed with El Paso Corporation as an Energy Trader, Senior Financial Analyst and most recently as a Principal in the Corporate Risk Management Group. Owens has extensive experience in discounted cash flow analyses, credit risk management, and financial risk management of derivative portfolios. He is also proficient in the use of database software, such as Lotus Approach and Microsoft Access, and financial software utilizing Argus Financial software and custom-designed Excel applications. 

Owens was recognized as Houston’s “Rookie of the Year” in 2005. In 2006, Portfolio Services receives Wal-Mart’s “Broker of the Year” award for outstanding service to Wal-Mart Realty. In 2007, Pierce Owens earned the Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) designation. In 2008, Pierce joined the Board of Directors of the Jones Partners. The Jones Partners is a committed group of business leaders working to open doors and build ties between the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business and the Houston Business Community.

Owens received his Bachelor of Science at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1998, he received his Master in Business Administration from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
